How is your service better than regular torrent clients?

1. Speed and convenience: No need to install or configure anything. Download a torrent or magnet link - get ready-made files in an archive directly in a dialogue with the bot. This is especially important for phones, where everything can be complicated with torrent clients (especially iPhones).
2. Availability: The files are on our server. If the distribution is old and there are no seeds for it, we may already have it in the cache (marked ⚡️), and you will download it instantly, while in a regular client it will download for weeks.
3. Security and privacy: You do not expose your real IP address in the peer-to-peer network. The entire download process goes through our servers. This is important for countries where your provider sends you fines for torrents.

Why I can't select files to download?

You can select files of a total size no larger than the "available size" parameter. It can be seen in the uploader interface in the "Storage" section. "Corrupted zip archive" and other download errors

If you download files with Freedomist Downloader, always use a download manager. Browsers are not optimized for downloading large files. They cannot resume interrupted downloads correctly and often incorrectly report that interrupted downloads are complete.
A download manager will easily and accurately resume your downloads when needed. It will also open multiple connections for more efficient use of bandwidth. We recommend ad space.

Why can't I download the torrent for a long time?

Although we use dedicated servers with powerful network bandwidth, download speed depends on the number and quality of seeders. If there are no seeders, you won't be able to download the seed.

However, if the seed has already been downloaded through our service and sent to Telegram, it remains in our cloud forever and can be instantly retrieved through the Telegram bot even if there are no seeders at all.

For your convenience, we also regularly check all distributions in our database and mark "alive" distributions with a special 🍀 icon in search results.

Does Freedomist Downloader use my internet to download files?

No. Downloader uses its own cloud to add files directly from the Internet to your server storage. That's why your files get there so quickly, at speeds of up to 10 Gbps. That's why you can start transferring data to Downloader and close the site. Downloader doesn't perform any actions on your device.
For example, after adding a link, you don't need to keep your device connected to the Internet or even turned on. You can come back later and immediately access the files on any other device (phone, computer, or tablet).

Can anyone see my IP address?

No. Freedomist Downloader does everything for you, using its own servers and networks, not yours. Using our system completely isolates your devices from the outside network, keeping them sterile, private, and secure.
You don't need to use a VPN to hide your IP address from the internet, because you don't connect to it directly when you transfer files via Downloader.

I forgot my account password!

We do not store your passwords in plain text anywhere. You can request a password reset for your account. Please note that you must have access to the email address that your account is registered to.

I want to change the email address on my account.

In most cases, we do not allow you to change email addresses on your account for security reasons.

Can anyone see what I'm downloading?

No. Freedomist encrypts all your connections, so neither your ISP nor anyone else can see what you download to your cloud.

Can anyone see my files?

No. Freedomist Downloader storage is private.
Every link you pass to Downloader is encrypted and secure – as it should be.

Do I need a VPN when using Downloader?

Using a VPN with Freedomist Downloader is generally not recommended.
Downloader traffic is already encrypted, and when using Freedomist Downloader you are not actually connected to the download network. Using a VPN may not have a significant effect, other than slowing down your streaming and download speeds from your storage.

What are distribution statuses, what do they mean?

Our search engines contain information about torrents from the most popular trackers, including information about their current status on the forum (usually) if distributions are pre-moderated. The meaning and interpretation of each status, unfortunately, usually depends heavily on the tracker and its rules. Where possible, the most likely interpretation is provided. We use the most common status designation scheme:

• "√" => ✅, "verified" (design and sometimes content are checked by the tracker moderator);
• "#" => ⚠️, "doubtful" (the design and/or quality of the distribution do not meet the tracker's requirements);
• "*" => *️⃣, "not verified" (the distribution hasn't been tested yet);
• "T" => 🕠, "temporary" (the distribution will be deleted after some time);
• "?" => ❓, "not fully completed";
• "∑" => ✝️, "absorbed" (the distribution was included in another distribution and removed from the tracker);
• "!" => ❗️, "not formalized";
• "D" => 🔘, "repeat";
• "x" => ❌️, "closed";
• "∏" => ♿️, "is being checked";
• ❔, "unknown" — used for the case when the source does not explicitly indicate the distribution status.

Please note that we do not assign these statuses to distributions ourselves (except for the last one ❔), and we are not responsible for the correctness of the content or the name, nor do we guarantee the functionality or security of any programs contained in distributions.
